This is required to use the range on days we offer open range days, the range will be open to use ONLY to those who pay for this class and this will cover your first year of use.
The range will have a posted schedule for "members" to come and use the facility and will ONLY be open where there is a Range Safety Officer there.
NO violations of safety rules will be permitted. NO warnings, no nice talk. Break the rules and you are asked to leave and you will lose your ability to use the range until you pay $200 again to take the range introduction/safety class again.
EVERYONE is required to attend this basic course to use the range. We are not going to be open to the public to just come in and trash the facility. Nobody wants to share the range with people who don't understand safe firearm handling.
Part one is range rules, this is absolutely mandatory.
1.
Trash taken with you.
Brass picked up and put in barrels (or you can keep it if you reload).
Bathrooms, you are an adult, clean up after yourself for the next person.
Leaving the range in a BETTER condition than you found it.
2.
Safe fire arm handling while on the range. Moving around in each bay with your firearm, where to point it, when it can/can't be loaded.
3.
What steel targets can/cannot be engaged with different calibers. This protects our large investment in steel targets and stands. Some steels/stands are intended for rimfire (22LR) only and CAN NOT be engaged with any other rounds.
4.
Range rules concerning cease fires, target re-setting, safety gear.
Part Two will be firing on the range, so bring your rifle and pistol for this so you can get out and get some practice. This is also for us to make sure you understand how to keep yourself and everyone else safe.
**You will receive a card to show your successful completion of this class. This will permit YOU and ONLY you to use the range during advertised days of the range being open.
